Women's Golf Finishes TWU Spring Invite in Second Place

WILLOW PARK, TEXAS (April 16, 2024) - The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf team took second place out of six teams at the Texas Wesleyan University (TWU) Spring Invite in three rounds of play. The tournament was played on the Squaw Creek Golf Course in Willow Park, Texas, and had a par of 72.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez said, "The women played very well this tournament. Squaw Creek is a difficult course and with the winds it made it even tougher. The women made good decisions and kept their emotions under control. We have been working hard on improving and it's good to see our women play well. Congratulations to Ceci Lattuada for her fourth place finish. She played well the entire tournament. We will prepare and be ready for the conference tournament."

TWU was victorious with a total of 292/293/298=883. The Saints finishes second after shooting 324/312/309=945. The University of Houston-Victoria took third place at 329/327/325=981, followed by the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at 330/334/330=994, Southwestern Christian University at 346/355/347=1048 and Weatherford College at 415/390/427=1232.

Ceci Lattuada finished in the top five individual spots at fourth place. She shot 74 in the first round, 72 in the second round and 76 in the final round for a total of 222. Kendall Ward concluded the tournament in seventh place at 83/74/78=235, followed by Annabelle Reyna tied for the 10th spot at 81/79/81=241. Miliani Georges took 18th place at 86/87/77=250, with Madelyn Miller right below in 19th place at 86/87/78=251.
