Women's Golf Improves to Second Place Finish at UHV Fall Classic
VICTORIA, TEXAS (Oct. 22, 2024) - The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf team took second place out of five teams at the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) Fall Classic. The two-round tournament ran from Oct. 21-22 at the Club at Colony Creek and has a par of 72.
Head Coach Arnie Martinez said, "I'm very proud of how our women played. Playing on two different courses put pressure on how we prepared for the event. They took on the challenge and competed. I'm proud of them for that. Congratulations to Kendall Ward and Grayson Weiler for their top five finishes. Congratulations to Annabelle Reyna and Ceci Lattuada on finishing inside the top 10. Our eyes are now set on next week and finishing the fall with a good showing at Hawks Creek."
Blinn College won the tournament at 292/315=607. The Saints A Team took second at 319/306=625, followed by University of St. Thomas at 325/314=639, UHV at 317/322=639 and OLLU B Team at 351/347=698.
Kendall Ward (78/77=155) and Grayson Weiler (79/76=155) tied for fifth place. Annabelle Reyna grabbed eighth place at 81/76=157 and Ceci Lattuada finished in 10th place at 81/77=158. Miliani Georges took 18th place at 82/84=166, followed by Samantha Garcia at 87/85=172, Alahnna Limones at 88/86=174, Alexis Calzada at 90/84=174 and Caroline Garcia at 91/93=184.
