OLLU Women's Soccer Downed by USAO 2-0

SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 15, 2022) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's soccer team lost to University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) 2-0 on Thursday afternoon. The Saints drop to 2-2-1 while the Drovers improve to 5-1.

History

The Saints were 1-2-2 against USAO prior to the match.

Basics

The Saints had a tough day offensively against the Drovers on Thursday. USAO scored 25 minutes into the first half with a goal from Kyleigh Fort. Emma Rice assisted on the play with a pass from the left side. The Saints were limited to two shots in the first frame and Tess Pitcher made five saves.

OLLU played better in the second half but were haunted by six fouls. Kaitlyn Olivas and Deanna Tarango put pressure on the Drovers with shots on goal late in the match but were unable to convert. The Drovers added another goal one minute before the match ended. Alicia Rey scored with a goal to the top right corner with an assist from Sydney Arneson. Rey was shown a yellow card 25 seconds before the match concluded.
