Women's Soccer Begins Season in 3-0 Loss to OCU

OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 2, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's soccer team opened the 2023 season by losing 3-0 to Oklahoma City University (OCU) on Saturday.

Head Coach Victoria Vazquez said, "This was a tough loss, especially considering our previous performance against Texas A&M International University. We seemed disconnected today, but we know we'll learn and put our best foot forward for our next match. We have a tough match against the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Monday that we will already start preparing for."

The Saints were 4-3-1 against the Stars prior to the game.

Basics

The Saints struggled against OCU to start the season on Saturday. OLLU didn't allow a corner kick by the Stars in the first half, but OCU was able to score two goals. The Stars tacked on another goal in the second half to win 3-0. Tess Pitcher made five saves on eight shots faced. Ijayla Criswell played the full 90 minutes for the Saints.
