Women's Soccer Downs Southwest 2-1
SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 28, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's soccer team won its third straight match in a 2-1 victory over the University of the Southwest (USW). The Saints improve to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). The Lady Mustangs drop to 3-4-1 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

The Saints were 17-5 against the Lady Mustangs prior to the game.
Basics
The Saints offense and goalkeeping shined in the win over the Lady Mustangs on Thursday. Jaylin Seto opened the scoring in the 43rd minute with an assist from Samantha Nava. Leah Tapia extended OLLU's lead to 2-0 in the second half with a goal at the 66th minute. The Mustangs scored one minute later, but the Saints held on to win. Tess Pitcher finished with four saves and improves her goalkeeping record to 5-2 this season.
