Women's Soccer Races Past Texas College 6-0

SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 26, 2024) - The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's soccer team blanked Texas College (TC) 6-0 on Thursday. The Saints improve to 2-3-1 overall and 1-2 in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). The Steers fall to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in conference.

The Saints scored three times in the first half. Lyndee Rheinberger started the scoring at the 33rd minute with an assist from Dusty Van Huss. Sara Garza added another tally for the Saints five minutes later. Allison Kostoch assisted on the play to put the Saints up 2-0. Rheinberger continued her offensive pressure by scoring again with five minutes remaining in the frame. Her second goal of the match came with an assist by Sara Garza. 

Julia Moreira increased the Saints advantage to 4-0 just seven minutes into the second half with an assist by Gabrielle Pace. Rheinberger completed a hat trick at the 55th minute. Her goal was assisted by Anisia Serrano. Freshman Katherine Delgadillo scored OLLU's final goal at the 76th mark for a 6-0 victory. The Saints put up 28 shots in the first half and 26 in the second half. Samantha Valadez earned the win in goal and is now 2-3-1 on the season. London Suarez and Elizabeth Gregurek also saw time in net.
