Saints Women Gets Draw Against Xavier 1-1
METAIRIE, LA. (Oct. 17, 2024) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's soccer match against Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA) concluded in a 1-1 draw. The Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) game moves the Saints to 6-3-2 overall and 5-2-1 in conference. XULA moves to 8-3-1 overall and 7-0-1 in conference.
Head Coach Lee Williams commented, "The intensity we brought today was incredible. Against a top, top side, and an excellent coach, we were relentless in our game plan. They have some very talented individuals who can hurt teams if they let them play. We didn't do that today. The work rate we had from everyone who stepped on the field was tremendous. I'm so proud of everyone, and they got what they deserved (a point), and potentially, in the second half, we should have gotten one or two more goals. We now shift our focus to Houston and North American University.
