Women's Tennis Battles in 6-3 Loss to Trinity University
SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 9, 2024) - The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's tennis team fell to Trinity University (TU) 6-3 on Friday. The Saints are now 2-2 on the season.
Head Coach Dave Watts commented, "I'm so proud of our team today. Although we didn't get the win, things are headed in the right direction. Trinity is a well-coached team. It's such a tough yet fun environment for our women to compete in. We had a rough start in doubles. However, we responded really well on the singles court. Sofia Gonzalez was the first off the court with a win at line six. She competed very well and did a great job closing out the match. Lucia played an amazing match at line one and Alexandra Mille was another standout at line two. In addition to being our best doubles player today, Millie Wileman also had a stellar performance on the singles court. She came back from losing the first set to win in a third set tiebreaker after being down two match points. Now it's time to rest up and prepare for another tough match tomorrow."
