Women's Tennis Defeats LCU at LSUA Tournament
ALEXANDRIA, LA. (April 4, 2024) - The No. 21-ranked Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's tennis team downed Louisiana Christian University (LCU) 4-2 in the first match of the LSU-Alexandria (LSUA) Tournament. The Saints improve to 10-5 while the Wildcats drop to 4-11.
Head Coach Dave Watts said, "I was proud of how the ladies played today. LCU is a very tough team that fought until the last point. I thought this was the best we competed all season. Ana Ossio and Alexandra Mille battled at line two and three singles. Sofia Gonzalez came back from being up a set but 5-0 down in the second set to win in a tiebreaker. Her win at line five singles clinched the match."
