Saints Women Open Indoor Season in Kansas with Three Records Broken
PITTSBURG, KAN. (Dec. 11, 2022) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's indoor track and field team participated in the Crimson & Gold Invite sponsored by Pittsburg State University. The team made an impressive appearance and several members etched their names in the Saints record book.
Head Coach Patrick Torres commented, "We are starting much better than last year and some of that credit certainly belongs to Coach Orlando Mathews and Coach Brett Charlton for making adjustments from last year's preparation. We had three school records broken, one by Viridiana Zuniga and two by Kiana Kebbi. Hopefully, we can carry that positive start forward to the rest of the season."
Saints' sophomore Kiana Kebbi set the school record in the 200m with a time of 25.60 and in the 60m with a time of 7.87. Senior Viridiana Zuniga broke the record in the 800m with a time of 2:29.
