Five Women From OLLU Will Compete in Nationals

KANSAS CITY, MO. (Feb. 23, 2024) – The official final rosters and entry lists for all qualifiers for the 44th Annual NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field National Championships have been announced. Five from OLLU – the most in school history – will participate.

Aziza Clark, Tara Madrid, Morghan Neely, Autumn Roberts and Alexandria Segura of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) have qualified for the championship hosted by Dakota State University at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, S.D., Feb. 29-March 2.

Aziza Clark will participate in the 60m Hurdles. Her qualifying time was 9.01, which was set at the New Mexico University Collegiate Classic, Feb. 2-3, in Albuquerque, N.M. She is ranked 35th in a slate of 39 hurdlers. The 60m Hurdles prelims will take place March 1 at 12:35 p.m. The finals will take place on March 2 at 12:45 p.m.

Clark (leg one), Madrid (leg five), Neely (leg two), Roberts (leg three) and Segura (leg four) will participate in the 4x400m Relay. The team's qualifying time was 3:58.88, which was set at the New Mexico Classic. The team is ranked 22nd in a slate of 26 teams. The 1600m Relay prelims will take place on Feb. 29 at 4:30 p.m. The finals will take place on March 2 at 4:55 p.m.

The only previous female indoor track student-athletes to compete in the Nationals were Jennifer Ramirez and Miki Romain in the 60m Hurdles in 2017 and Romain again in 2019.
