OLLU Women Earn First-Ever NAIA Top 25 Ranking
NEW ORLEANS (March 30, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's track and field team earned votes as the No. 24-ranked team in the NAIA according to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). This is the first time in OLLU history that the Saints have been ranked in the top 25.
The University of British Columbia is ranked first in the ratings that were released yesterday. Southeastern University is second, followed by Vanguard University, Life University and The Master's University.
The Saints participated at the Trinity Invitation from March 3-4 and the UTSA Invitational that ran from March 17-18. Deandra Ibarra ranks in the top 10 in the 800m with a best of 2:18.69 this season. The 4x100mR relay team consisting of Alondra Toledo, Kiana Kebbi, Autumn Roberts and Larrisa McHenry ranks fourth in the nation with a time of 47.03. The Saints' other meter relay team, the 4x400, is made up of Kebbi, Roberts, Brianna Pantoja and Kennedy Villalpando. The team is seventh with a time of 3:58.43.
