SAN ANTONIO (April 29, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's track and field team captured the runner-up trophy for the 2023 Red River Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships. Winning the meet this year was Xavier University of Louisiana, who recorded 309 points, while OLLU earned 205, Huston-Tillotson University finished with 100 and Jarvis Christian University ended with 57.

OLLU placed fourth in its inaugural season in 2015, and the following year, the Saints were runners-up. In 2017, the Saints were once again runners-up, and in 2018, the team won the meet. In 2019, OLLU was the second-place winner, while the 2020 season was cancelled due to COVID-19. In 2021, the Saints won the conference, and last year, the Saints finished in fourth place.

After the event that spanned two days, the university honored seniors Lindsey Broussard, Savannah Cassiano, Robbie Sue Espericueta, Makhayla Parker and Alondra Toledo.

OLLU had several champions including Espericueta, who won the 10000m, Broussard captured the 5000m, Deandra Ibarra secured the 1500m and Victoria Sweeney came up with the win in the javelin throw.

Listed below are OLLU's all-conference winners, which included the top four finishers in each category.

Parker was also recognized as her team's Champions of Character representative.
