Volleyball Battles in Loss Against NCAA D3 Trinity University
SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 10, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) volleyball team fell short against NCAA D3 Trinity University (TU) 3-1 on Tuesday. The Saints drop to 12-10 overall while the Tigers improve to 18-3.
Head Coach Scott Mattera said, "The Tigers were national runners up last year for a reason, but we are past the point of moral victories in our program. We had all the momentum after game three and said all the right things between sets three and four but killed our own momentum in the final set. We fought back and I'm proud of that, but we can't dig holes against good teams. We'll learn from it, and we got better as a team tonight, which will help us down the stretch."
