NEW ORLEANS (Nov. 12, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) volleyball team lost a heartbreaking five-set match against Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA) in the Red River Athletic Conference championship match. The Saints move to 19-12 on the season while the Gold Nuggets improve to 19-7.

Head Coach Scott Mattera commented, "I can honestly say I've never been more heartbroken for a team. We did so many things right and just didn't come out on top. It's not just pleasantries for me to say that I am proud of this group, how much they have grown and the type of people they are. We played some beautiful volleyball this year."
