Four From Volleyball Selected to First Team AVCA All-Region Team

LEXINGTON, KY. (Nov. 30, 2023) - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced the women's volleyball All-Region teams for NAIA women's volleyball, as chosen by the NAIA Selection Committee.

Those selected from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) in the Southcentral Region First Team are Mia Dorsey, Mia Francis, Lauren Reynard and Tina Trevino.

Dorsey played in 25 matches and 88 sets in her second season. She totaled 299 kills and averaged 3.40 per set. Dorsey also had 192 digs and a .240 hitting percentage.

Francis led the Saints with 340 kills and played in all 31 matches. She had 3.21 kills per set and added 28 service aces. Francis also tallied 117 digs.

Reynard joined the Saints 1,000 Club after achieving 1,899 career assists this past season. She led the squad with 1,106 assists which led to a staggering 10.84 assists per set.

Trevino also became a member of the Saints 1,000 Club with a career total of 1,824 digs. She averaged 4.81 digs per set with a total of 519. Trevino led the team with 501 receptions.

Reynard and Trevino repeated as winners of the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Setter and Defender of the Year awards. Francis earned Attacker of the Year honors. Dorsey was selected to the All-Conference Team in addition to the three other players.
