Three From Volleyball Earn AVCA All-American Honorable Mentions

LEXINGTON, KY. (Dec. 11, 2023) – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced the women's volleyball All-America teams for NAIA women's volleyball, as chosen by the NAIA Selection Committee.

Mia Dorsey, Lauren Reynard and Tina Trevino from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) were awarded honorable mentions. They were also selected to the AVCA All-Region team in the Southcentral Region, in addition to Mia Francis.

Dorsey played in 25 matches and 88 sets in her sophomore season. She tallied 299 kills and averaged 3.40 per set. Dorsey also recorded 192 digs and a .240 hitting percentage.

Reynard joined the Saints 1,000 Club after achieving 1,899 career assists this past year. She led the team with 1,106 assists which led to a staggering 10.84 assists per set.  

Trevino also became a member of the Saints 1,000 Club with a career total of 1,824 digs. She averaged 4.81 digs per set with a total of 519. Trevino led the Saints with 501 receptions.

Dorsey was selected to the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) All-Conference Team in addition to the three other players. Reynard and Trevino repeated as winners of the RRAC Setter and Defender of the Year awards.
