OLLU Congratulates Volleyball's Urbanczyk, Reynard and Trevino For Academic All-District Awards

SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 17, 2024) - The 2024 Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Outstanding student-athletes are nominated by members of CSC for Academic All-District® recognition by communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards. (25,000+ nominations annually).

The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.

Selected from OLLU are the following:  

Sophomore Victoria Urbanczyk, a Biomathematics major, has been part of the team since 2023.  She played in 32 matches and 113 sets, had 205 kills, 43 digs and 32 blocks. 

Junior Lauren Reynard, a Business and Computer Information and Systems and Security major, has been part of the team since 2022. She played in 32 matches and 114 sets,  had 36 kills, 815 assists, 33 service aces and 159 digs. 

Senior Tina Trevino, who just received her degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology major, has been part of the team since 2021. She played in 32 matches and 112 sets this season and accumulated 83 assists, 32 service aces and 631 digs.

Trevino's accomplishments throughout the season, including winning the Red River Athletic Conference Defender of the Year, qualifies her to be selected as a CSC Academic All-America finalist. She will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced Jan. 14, 2025.
