Saints Women Placed 12th in the Oklahoma Jamboree

STILLWATER, OKLA. (Sept. 24, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University women's cross-country team participated in the 2023 Cowboy Jamboree presented by Oklahoma State University on Saturday morning.

Head Coach Patrick Torres commented, "Overall, it was a quality team race. Sanai Robinson had another standout performance. This young group is showing a lot of promise."

The Saints placed 12th out of 19 teams in the 6K. Winning the meet was Oklahoma State University with 16 points, followed by the University of Texas with 52 points, University of St. Mary with 103 points, Fort Hays State University with 161 points, Midwestern State University with 172 points, Harding University with 174 points, University of Alabama at Huntsville with 204 points, Oral Roberts University with 205 points, John Brown University with 299 points, Lubbock Christian University with 314 points, the University of Texas at Tyler with 332 points and OLLU with 344 points. After OLLU were UA-Fort Smith with 389 points, Texas A&M International University with 439 points, Cameron University with 449 points, Central Oklahoma University with 450 points, Jacksonville College with 462 points, Southeaster Oklahoma University with 463 points and Southern Nazarene University with 506 points.

Leading the way for in the 6K for OLLU was Sanai Robinson with a time of 24:00 for 59th place. Jocelynn Reyes followed at 25:39, Leilani Leza at 25:42, Valeria Pena at 26:20, Viridiana Zuniga at 26:29, Mia Curiel at 26:38 and Daylah Vega at 27:02.

The Saints will host the Saints Collegiate Cross-Country Invite on Oct. 7 at the Alamo Sportsplex, Culebra Creek Soccer Fields.
