Viridiana Zuniga Named All-Academic by USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS (Feb. 1, 2024) – The Women's All-Academic Athletes for the 2023 NAIA Cross Country season were announced on Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Earning this honor is Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) senior Viridiana Zuniga.

Zuniga had a tremendous senior season with the Saints. She placed fifth at the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Championships in 2023 with a time of 24:29. She led the team to its ninth RRAC title and a berth at the NAIA National Championships in Vancouver, Wash. Zuniga earned a 3.7 GPA.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and qualify for the national championship meet.
