OLLU Men's Soccer Ends Season With 4-0 Loss to TAMUSA

SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 29, 2022) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's soccer team fell to Texas A&M University-San Antonio (TAMUSA) 4-0 to end the season. The Saints finish 2-11-3 overall and 2-7-2 in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). The Jaguars move to 7-4-3 overall and 5-3-3 in conference.

Head Coach Arthur Salazar said, "We didn't possess enough intensity and we lost sight of the game plan in the first 45 minutes. It was a tough season, but now it's time to regroup and focus on next year in hopes that the experience gained by the younger players can help us grow and move forward."

Basics

The Saints struggled in the final game of the season. The Jaguars scored all four goals in the first half backed by 15 shots. OLLU was limited to only one shot in the first frame and goaltender Alejandro Avila made four saves. The offense improved for OLLU in the second half with eight shots but they were unable to convert.
