Women's Soccer Races Past Shreveport 2-0

SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 14, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's soccer team blanked LSU-Shreveport (LSUS) 2-0 in the first Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) match of the season. The Saints improve to 2-1 while the Pilots fall to 2-3.

The Saints were 7-3-3 against the Pilots prior to the match.

Basics

OLLU's offense and disciplined defensive performance led them to a 2-0 victory over LSUS on Thursday. The Saints struck first in the 12th minute with a header by Jaylin Seto. Seto took the deflection off her initial shot and put the Saints up by one goal. Madison Herrera scored just under 15 minutes after halftime. She scored on a corner kick from Seto, who was credited with the assist. Tess Pitcher played the full match in net and made seven saves.

Seto led the Saints with two shots on goal. Dawniella Torres had three shots on goal for the Pilots.
